my sincerest condolences
February 20, 2008 by m'lissa
I was still on a bit of a high after this weekends’ adventures to DC when I read this. Aaron Blanco explains more here. While I never met Carlos or his son, Edwin, I do know the Martinez’s and their passion for coffee, people, and their farm, Finca Vista Hermosa. My heart goes out to all the family, friends, co-workers and community members in Huehuetenago, Guatemala and everywhere else that this sort of thing happens. I had never heard of road-side bandits nor had ever even thought about it. My naiveness has grounded me.
Thanks, M’lissa, for posting this. Look soon for info on how your army of readers can help contribute to a memorial fund in Carlos’ and little Edwin’s honor.
Oh man, is Edwin putting something together? Don’t forget to let me in on the action!
It’s a Tragedy indeed.
